The strength of our partner TAS Schäfer lies above all in the high flexibility of the production. In cooperation with the competent design department, we are therefore also able to manufacture special solutions at any time.
We will be happy to work out a solution together with you, tailored to your requirements. Thanks to the raw material warehouse at the Wetter location, short delivery times can also be realised for special solutions. On request, all products can also be supplied with acceptance by a classification society or comprehensive documentation by our own measuring centre.
The right selection of the material is of high importance for shaft-hub connections. Stainless steel in particular offers a variety of applications in the field of stainless constructions. Shaft-hub connections made of stainless steel are increasingly used in industry today. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that the requirements placed on components in certain industries are becoming increasingly demanding, while at the same time the processing of stainless steels has become easier.
Stainless products in drive technology are particularly characterized by their resistance to chemically aggressive substances and are therefore increasingly used in the food and packaging industries, maritime technology, laundry technology and laboratory equipment. In general, stainless products are used wherever increased risk of corrosion and purity are important criteria.
The standard stainless steel we use is 1.4122, which is a stainless, martensitic steel with good resistance to corrosion and also very good wear resistance. If the product is to be used in a more aggressive environment, the material 1.4571 is preferred. This stainless austenitic steel offers very good corrosion resistance and is also suitable for cryogenic and elevated temperatures up to 550°C.
It should be noted, however, that despite good mechanical properties, products made of stainless steel achieve lower transmission values than comparative products made of standard material such as 42CrMo4+QT. In addition to the mechanical properties of the steels, the mechanical properties of the clamping screws are decisive for this. The strength values of stainless-steel stressing bolts are significantly lower than the strength values of high-strength steel bolts. In general, the transmission values of stainless products are sufficient for their use. If this should not be the case, special solutions can also be implemented quickly and easily
