Customised manufacture of pulleys and flywheels

Individual design - Casting without model costs - Ready-to-install production

With our own foundry, we specialise in the production of drive components made of grey cast iron and can draw on many decades of manufacturing experience since we were founded in 1913. Since then, we have been offering high-quality drive technologies that are made in Germany in our own machining and assembly workshops.

From the initial design and optimisation of the drives to the precise and complete production according to the customers specifications. From our company headquarters in Gütersloh (North Rhine-Westphalia) we offer the complete value chain at the highest level. We also supply customer specified castings according to individual specifications both in Germany and internationally.

We supply the classic hand moulding for single parts and small series where we can produce unit weights of up to 6,000 kg. We can also supply rotationally symmetrical parts that are usually manufactured without pattern costs.

Our product range includes all belt drive products - from V-belt pulleys, flat belt pulleys, flywheels, elevator pulleys, TaperLock clamping bushes, motor clamping systems, foundation blocks and fixings for the drive belt assembly rails.

11.12.2025 Custom castings: prototypes and small series

We can do more than you might think: as an experienced iron foundry, we manufacture customised castings using hand moulding techniques – from individual pieces and small series to complex prototypes. Our new PDF provides detailed information about what we can do.
07.11.2025 25 years at Lütgert – from ice to iron

The year 2025 is marked by several long-standing anniversaries at Lütgert. Marinko Ljubicic joined us as a foundry worker back in November 2000. When he is not directly involved in casting, he usually works at one of our moulding stations. With his commitment, experience and reliability, Marinko has been a valued member of our team for 25 years now and plays a key role in ensuring that production runs successfully.
15.08.2025 Three anniversaries – 90 years of experience at Lütgert

Long-term employment is not uncommon at Lütgert – it is an expression of our corporate culture, mutual appreciation and continuous development. We are therefore all the more delighted to be celebrating three special anniversaries. Former employee Dirk Eichener can look back on an impressive 40 years, while machinists Alexander Litau and Ralf Blomberg can look back on 25 years with the Lütgert team.
24.03.2025 Cast iron pulleys with targeted unbalance

With this unusual project, we were once again able to demonstrate the versatility of our patternless hand-molding technology. It involves two custom-made cast pulleys with an outside diameter of 2200 mm: a driven V-belt flywheel with 8 x SPC profile and an identical flywheel without profile, for mounting on the opposite sides of the same shaft.
