Honour for 50 years of loyal cooperation

"The decisive factor was that my father and my neighbours were already employees of the Lütgert company, which gave me an interest and insight into the company.

Unthinkable in this day and age, but you started the physically hard work in the metal foundry at the youthful age of only 14. How do you remember starting your career?

"The fact that I already knew some of the staff made it very easy for me to start my career and I received a lot of support."

How has working life in the foundry changed over the last five decades?

"In the past, the profession of hand moulding was physically very difficult and demanding. Today's tools have made it easier, but it is still a physically demanding job.

What do you appreciate about Lütgert as an employer?

"What I appreciate most about Lütgert is the respectful and familiar way of dealing with the employees.

What do you remember most about half a century of working for Lütgert?

"The former company bosses of the Lütgert company, from whom I acquired my specialist knowledge, which I am still able to practise today with a lot of fun and pleasure."
