Our foundry employees Ralf Zwick and Ottmar Schult, two long-serving members of our workforce, are taking their well-deserved retirement. We would like to thank them for many decades of hard work, diligence and loyalty. Both have developed into true experts in their field and have shaped and advanced the company in many areas.
Shortly before Christmas, we bid farewell to moulding and foundry employee Ralf Zwick as he retired after more than 50 years with our company. To mark the turn of the year, he treated the entire workforce to fresh Berliner.
Fortunately, the farewell will not last too long. Ralf will start working part-time in our foundry on 2 January, so that we will continue to benefit from his wealth of experience.
A few days later, Ottmar Schult, another long-serving employee with over 29 years of service in our foundry, also retired.
Ottmar got up particularly early every morning and commuted to Gütersloh-Avenwedde by train. As a "child of the Ruhrpott", it was important to him to keep his centre of life in Gelsenkirchen on the one hand and to continue working in our foundry until his retirement on the other. The internal company news about his "last box" was also a little melancholy.
A new phase of life is now beginning for both of them, in which there will finally be time for all the things that have often been neglected in the past. We wish them all the best, good health and happiness and hope to see them again at the annual Lütgert pensioners' reunion.
