Investments in warehouse and internal logistics

Two years have passed between the planning and completion of our new warehouse. The plain steel construction with an area of 15 x 20 m is equipped with a warm roof and ISO wall cladding. For weather-resistant storage items, the hall was extended by a canopy of 5 x 15 metres.

For this building project, an old shed was converted and re-clad by the company itself. This made it possible to gain an additional 120 m² of floor space.

In order to enable the loading and unloading of trucks without space restrictions in the future, 1000 m² of yard area was also newly developed and paved. In the course of this, a new rainwater retention basin had to be created at the edge of the factory premises. New flowerbeds and green areas were created around the warehouse to visually enhance the site.

To make it easier and safer to transport the large and, above all, heavy drive pulleys, we have also invested in the purchase of a new heavy-duty chassis trolley. This can move drive pulleys with a dead weight of up to 7,000 kg and was purchased especially for surface finishing. This way, the machining processes, such as shot peening and fine blasting, painting and drying, could be sustancially optimised. Incidentally, the chassis is moved by an electric tractor.

With the investments in the new company building and the internal warehouse logistics, Lütgert wants to set an example for the future. In this way, the best service and fastest delivery times can also be guaranteed in the future.
