New mould boxes for pattern casting

Mould boxes are used in individual sand casting production. The sand casting process is particularly suitable for the production of individual parts and prototypes as well as small batches and medium-sized series. The process works according to the lost mould principle: The mould is destroyed after being used once to demould the cast body.

The new, ready-to-cast moulds consist of a rigid frame that is resistant to bending and twisting to hold and retain the moulding material compacted inside it. Sand casting moulds are divided into two mould boxes. The lower and upper boxes contain a common guide. Larger moulding boxes are fitted with chutes to guarantee handling in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements. For some foundry products, three-part and multi-part moulds are also required.
